Poultry Feed Additive
Our premium product, F20, has been specially formulated to provide energy that is more readibly metabolised to the feed ration. It is also made up of a blend of vegetable and animal fats and is of a superior quality to standard Feed Fat.
Why Energy?
F20 provides the energy source for a variety of body functions. These functions range from essential muscular activity and maintenance of body temperature to energy required for the synthesis of body tissue. It is primarily energy intake which determines the levels of performance that an animal can sustain. Product quality is ensured with every batch in our on-site laboratory.
What are energy feed additives?
Energy Oil makes up various blends of high quality, crude refined vegetable oils specifically formulated to provide optimum energy for animal feeds.
Fats & Oils provide:
- A concentrated source of energy
- A source of essential nutrients called essential fatty acids (EFA's). The body cannot produce EFA's.
- Fats & oils are essential for the transportation and absorption of vitamins.
Balanced saturated and unsaturated fats:
Monogastric animals (especially chickens) have difficulty in metabolizing high concentrations of saturated fats. This is particularly prevalent in young chickens, and it is thought to be because the young chicken's liver is still in the growth phase and is not able to supply enough bile salts to break down the saturated fats. The chicken's metabolism is ideally suited to utilizing a largely unsaturated fat portion in the diet.
